Fresh broccoli

Cooked with butter, some water and finished with sea salt!

  1. Step 1: Cut the broccoli off the main stem of the head. You will have some of the stem on the floret (the flower part)
  2. Step 2: Cut those in half to keep an even size amongst them - so some may be cut smaller and some will not.
  3. Step 3: In a medium high heated pan melt the 2 tbs of butter and sprinkle a little salt into it
  4. Step 4: Toss the broccoli into the butter once the butter melts.
  5. Step 5: add about 1/4 cup of water to the pan and cover with a lid
  6. Step 6: leave on until enough steam has accumulated turn heat down to medium-low
  7. Step 7: let the steam cook the broccoli for about 5-7 minutes
  8. Step 8: turn heat up so that the water starts to cook off more
  9. Step 9: remove lid and watch your pad or it can burn, you can skip this step and drain off the water if you wish but i think the butter still sits in the water and it helps
  10. Step 10: once done remove from heat and sprinkle sea salt over the brocolli
